ARMCO STEELOX PANEL PROFILE GUIDE
WALL PANELS & ROOF PANELS

This panel guide is only intended to help identify the style of Armco Steelox panel you have for your building, and the best course of action to take. As you will see, there are not many good options for these older panel styles.  There are a few styles that have recommendations as to best courses of action, however many are simply no longer available.

Note that if you are looking for skylights or light transmission panels, that we no longer recommend or supply those as many manufacturers have had lawsuit problems from people falling through them walking on the roofs.  About the only option for these is if you have a 2″ LRX roof panel, to contact MBCI about their skylight panels that are made from perforated Battenlock roof panels.  Other than that, you are probably going to have to re-roof with a new metal panel system.

Hey, at least you will have a definitive answer as to your next step you should take.

BEST COURSE OF ACTION:

  • Unfortunately, no panel we have found works with these at all. 🙁  Consider starting over with new panels.  We have seen where people have taken panels from one side of a building to repair another side and re-paneled certain elevations as a cost saving measure.

XTR – Trapezoidal 24″

**NOTE** THIS PANEL IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE.

Bottom line on this panel is one company bought the patent, and another bought the roll forming machine.  The company with the roll forming machine cannot make this profile until the patent runs out.  We are unaware when this will happen, or if it ever will happen to where this panel is ever made again.

BEST COURSE OF ACTION:

  • No panel on the market really matches this profile close enough to be any good, but several metal building companies do make similar products, but they will not marry with the XTR at all.  Consider a re-roof with a new panel system.
