Mill Finish Aluminum Sheet Metal:
This aluminum sheet metal is raw aluminum as it comes from the rolling mill.
- Appearance: Raw aluminum, and unprotected by any means of protective film, although upon special request PVC film may be applied.
- Can be “time saved” sanded for applications receiving paint post bending.
- Uses: Applications where appearance is not paramount (trim, moldings, flashing), or when parts are to be post painted.

Anodized Aluminum Sheet Metal:
Anodized aluminum sheet metal is product that consists of aluminum sheeting exposed to an electrolytic process that imparts a tough, protective finish on its surface. The benefit of the anodizing process is that it is an intrinsic part of the metal surface, thus yielding outstanding durability and strength. The longer the aluminum sheet metal is in the anodizing tank, the darker the color of the metal. Therefore anodized finishes are commonly specified as color ranges due to the chemistry & timing of the anodizing process. Typically the best anodized finishes come from 5005 AQ (Anodizing Quality) metal alloys. Trying to anodized other alloys typically yields unacceptable results.
There are 2 types of anodizing processes for anodized aluminum sheet metal:
Batch Anodized
Anodized by the batch dipped process, this type typically matches the anodized finishes of extruded aluminum members such as curtain walls. Batch anodized sheets should be ordered all at one time on a project by project basis to eliminate color differences as tank chemistry and exposure time allow for variations in color. This type is normally identified by the small grip marks present on the sheet from the dipping process.
Coil Anodized
Aluminium sheet metal anodized on the coil. Typically a more consistent finish is achieved, but it is limited to lighter gauges.

Painted Kynar500® / Hylar 5000 Aluminum Sheet Metal
Painted fluoropolymer PVDF coatings typically carry warranties of 20 or more years against chalking or fading. These sheets have a removable PVC film to protect finished surface, and can be cut and bent without cracking or scratching the surface. Sheets are finished on one side.

Aluminum Diamond Plate – Tread Bright:
- Appearance: Bright Mill Finish polish with raised diamond pattern on one side.
- Resistant to appearance of scratches due to raised pattern in metal.
- Uses include: Truck & Trailer panels, Flooring, and Wall Protection. Anywhere where traction or anti slip properties are desired.
- Thickness of sheet is based off of base sheet thickness, and does not include the added thickness of diamond pattern.
