Resume’s are great, but not enough to be considered for interview.  Interviews are by appointment only, and are only scheduled after receipt and review of your application, so make sure not to skip that step!

Applicants are also encouraged to provide a resume, samples, photos, or portfolios of work that demonstrate skills.  This isn’t required, but encouraged where applicable.  If you fill out an application online, there is a place at the end to upload documents.

I have an interview, what should I expect?

Congratulations on making it to this step!  Know we interview and hire as a team.   You will not only interview with HR and the owner initially, but also with your immediate team of the position you are applying for.  This is your opportunity to ask the tough questions you have to learn about what we are about and what this job really is like.   Feel free to get to know who you will be working with directly on a daily basis and get a clear understanding of the role.  Post interview, we will gather as a team and decide if an offer is in order or not.

What previous experience do I need for metal fabricator jobs?

Obviously if you have ever worked in a sheet metal shop, you have developed some skills, which is great! It is not necessary that you have experience to become a great metal fabricator. In fact, most of our employees came from backgrounds and fields other than metal fabrication! What is important to us is the thirst for learning, the confidence to try something new, and the positive attitude you will bring to work every day.
